Description
Hello! My name is Matthew, and I run a website dedicated to beards and wet shaving. The site is about three years old, and we publish how-to guides, product reviews, and informational pieces.
Who We're Looking For:
We're hoping to find someone who knows beards and/or wet shaving, and can write interesting and intriguing posts about a wide range of topics.
We'll be assigning "deep dives" into various subjects—many projects will be 3,500 to 4,500 words—so you should bring your own knowledge about the topic to your writing, but also be able to research new information about each topic (and we'll send you instructions on which sources to use in your work). We know "beards/shaving" sounds like a simple niche, but there will be posts where some research is required.
Ideally we're looking to build a relationship with someone who can produce content each week.
Requirements for Work:
> Must speak and write in perfect English—if you do not speak and write in perfect English, please do not apply;
> Must have experience in blogging/copywriting; and
> Must produce clean, accurate, post-ready content.
No need for photography or WordPress skills—we'll handle that over here. We just need you to write.
Please Note:
We frequently get this question when we hire new writers, so please note: we’re not only looking for people with beards. If you are 1) willing to research different topics related to beards/shaving, and 2) can write fantastic, clean, compelling copy, please reach out to us. If you’re a good fit, we’ll find a place for you.
Interested? Excellent!
Please contact me at [email protected], and send me the following:
> Your name, age, and location (country is fine; I just want to know the time zone you're in);
> The URLs to two of your writing samples (and, even better, two URLs to writing samples related to beards/shaving);
> The person who you think has the world’s best beard and why; and
> Anything else you think we should know.
Please also enter the following words in the "Subject" line: "Beards / Shaving Writing Opportunity". If your email doesn't have "Beards / Shaving Writing Opportunity" in the "Subject" line, we won't see it.
If your writing samples look good, we'll contact you and discuss rates.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Matthew
