Description
Hello! My name is Matthew, and I run a website dedicated to archery and bowhunting. We publish how-to guides, product reviews, and informational pieces that help people learn about both activities.
Who We're Looking For:
We're hoping to find someone who truly loves archery and/or bowhunting, who can write interesting and intriguing posts about a wide range of topics.
We'll be assigning "deep dives" into various subjects—many projects will be 3,500 to 4,500 words—so you should bring your own knowledge about archery/bowhunting to your writing, but also be able to research new information about each (and we'll send you instructions on which sources to use in your work).
Ideally we're looking to build a relationship with someone who can produce content each week.
Requirements for Work:
Must speak and write in perfect English—if you do not speak and write in perfect English, please do not apply;
Must have experience in blogging/copywriting; and
Must produce clean, accurate, post-ready content.
No need for photography or WordPress skills—we'll handle that over here. We just need you to write.
Please Note:
If you just know archery and don't have any experience bowhunting, that's fine—we have plenty of archery-only content we need to publish, and we can find a place for you.
If you know archery AND you're a bowhunter, that's fantastic—please let us know you can write about both topics.
If you're a *really* great writer but you don't have experience with archery or bowhunting, please don't email us—we're looking for people who can write from experience. Archery is surprisingly complicated, and it's not a "fake-it-til-you-make-it" activity. You need to know what you're talking about, so if you're not an archer or a bowhunter, this is not the job for you.
Interested? Excellent!
Please contact me at [email protected], and send me the following:
Your name, age, and location (country is fine; I just want to know the time zone you're in);
The URLs of two writing samples (and, even better, two URLs to writing samples that display knowledge of archery and/or bowhunting);
The names of two websites you read that are dedicated to archery and/or bowhunting; and
Anything else you think I should know.
Please also enter the following words in the "Subject" line: "Archery / Bowhunting Writing Opportunity". If your email doesn't have "Archery / Bowhunting Writing Opportunity" in the "Subject" line, we won't see it.
If your writing samples look good, we'll contact you and discuss rates.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Matthew
