Online SOS is a nonprofit organization that provides help for individuals experiencing online harassment. We’re seeking a content lead / web writer to lead our content team.
We are looking for an innovative thinker and stellar communicator, who can build and manage the execution of best-in-class content and talent of writers as part of a product launch. S/he is excited by the white canvas-nature of this opportunity and the critical role content will play in the success of our nonprofit this year.
We are currently in need of content not only to include in our product, but also in preparation for launch. Our ideal candidate is highly organized and experienced in developing original content. Our team is small and mighty - so the role will require wearing multiple hats. This role will include writing original informational content based on research, setting the editorial calendar, and editing once hiring a team to support on content creation. We’re looking for an SEO whiz with great instincts for what works in organic search and social media, and is capable of digging into web analytics to make informed decisions. S/he is able to proactively create processes and generate ideas to help take our content to the next level - and thrive in fast-paced, less structured environments.
Experience with digital and cybersecurity and legal writing preferred - with the ability to break down difficult-to-understand concepts and make it delightful for any reader.
We’re setting out to deliver content that comforts people so no one suffers in silence and moves people into action when they are experiencing online harassment. We have ambitious plans for 2018. We’re looking for a content lead who (1) is extremely good at their job, (2) can work well with our team (with open, direct communication), (3) is bold and intentional about risks and experimentation, (4) is a deeply connected, caring human who gives a shit about making a difference in the world.
