Hello there,
While most kids were pretending to be doctors or astronauts, I was out here “packing” invisible suitcases and pretending my bed was a bullet train to Istanbul. Some kids had imaginary friends — I had an imaginary travel blog.
Fast forward a decade, and guess what? The blog’s real, the suitcase’s overstuffed, and the bed is… well, still my writing spot, but now it comes with international Wi-Fi and snacks from five continents.
I’m Vaishnavi — your future favorite travel writer, part wanderluster, part wordsmith, full-time snack hoarder. And while I specialize in turning travel tales into immersive storytelling, I also moonlight (well, daylight) as a seasoned tech and finance writer.
From decoding antivirus software for everyday users to breaking down cryptocurrency trends for the crypto-curious, I’ve tackled complex topics and made them click-friendly, binge-worthy, and jargon-light.
I don’t just jot down itineraries and call it content. No, no. I serve readers full-course storytelling meals: street food adventures, “you-had-to-be-there” moments, cultural deep-dives, and just enough sass to make even airport security laugh.
Want a listicle on the quirkiest hostels in Europe? I’ve slept there (and survived). Need a heartfelt narrative about finding peace in a Himalayan village? Been there, cried that. Looking for the ultimate guide to avoiding tourist traps in New York? I’ve dodged them like a pro.
My rate is $0.07/word, which I’ll lovingly invest in my next trip — because the best travel writing doesn’t come from Google searches, it comes from almost missing the last train in Prague while holding a melting gelato.
And hey, I don’t expect you to take my word for it. I’m happy to offer a FREE article to showcase my writing talents — no strings, no invoices, just pure travel-flavored storytelling (or tech or finance content, if that’s your jam) on the house.
Let’s give your readers a passport through prose, yeah?
Education
While pursuing my BA in Finance, I balanced balance sheets by day and storytelling by night. As Editor-in-Chief of TrailTales Zine, I led a team curating travel and culture pieces, and even snagged the National Travel Essay Contest title in 2021. My love for meaningful travel led me to intern with an ecotourism NGO, where I created campaign content that blended sustainability with strong messaging. On campus, I published a travel column in the student journal and headed the Extra Curricular Committee, managing over 50 volunteers across writing, elocution, and debate events — equal parts leadership and laughter. I was also an active NSS member, organizing community events like quizzes and marathons to support NGOs. And just to keep things interesting, I interned as a copywriter too, crafting punchy pamphlets and ad copy for major businesses — proving finance brains can have creative flair.
Experience
As a Senior Tech Writer, I worked closely with editors to write, review, and polish content so it stayed clear, helpful, and true to the brand. I covered everything from phone reviews and antivirus tests to VPN comparisons, web hosting guides, and more — if it was tech, I probably wrote about it. I also helped keep our publishing data organized and up to date, and supported the team with research for author interviews. Most importantly, I always put the reader first — if something was confusing, I made it simpler. My goal was to turn complex topics into content that made sense for everyone.
I’ve written SEO-packed guides for over 30 destinations, crafted scroll-stopping itineraries based on real-time travel trends, and even chatted with locals to uncover hidden gems you won’t find on TripAdvisor. But my secret sauce? I bring a tech and finance brain to every journey. Whether I’m comparing flight deals like a VPN showdown or breaking down budgets with fintech precision, I turn travel advice into smart, savvy storytelling. From contributing to Skyscanner’s 2024 Travel Trends report to turning long-form blogs into newsletter gold, I’ve ranked among the top 5 most-read authors — all while keeping the brand voice as consistent as airport security lines.
From May 2020 to May 2023, I worked as a tech ghostwriter, where I turned heavy topics like antivirus software, VPNs, web hosting, and website security into clear, digestible content that actually made readers say “aha!” I crafted keyword-rich review articles and deep-dive guides that didn’t just perform well—they ranked #1 on SERPs and earned me a spot among the platform’s elite tech writers.
I regularly updated content to keep it accurate, squashed grammar gremlins before publishing, and worked hand-in-hand with editors and the writing team to maintain a high standard of quality across the board. In short, I made tech talk human — and Google loved it.
