To borrow from the classic Hollywood elevator pitch, my career can best be described as Forrest Gump-meets-Entourage.
How else could I end up traveling to Kuwait with MySpace founder Tom Anderson, appearing as a "high-profile magazine editor" on an episode of Flavor of Love, or collaborating with Obama “Hope” artist Shepard Fairey on an early iteration of what we now call a podcast?
While each of these adventures is a tale unto itself, together, they illustrate my ability to capture a moment in culture and translate it into compelling content.
Over time, my DIY exploits have evolved into entrepreneurial efforts to bring compelling storytelling to businesses of all sizes — from start-ups and SMBs to global brands and enterprise operations. While I once helmed the editorial of URB Magazine, I later became lead writer for the Coachella Festival. While writing business strategy and marketing content for Hubspot, I also crafted user-centric language systems for LG USA’s e-commerce ecosystem.
The core skill set, which remains the same, is to achieve business goals by increasing brand awareness, engagement, and conversion.
While the tools have evolved—from desktop publishing to AI-assisted copy—the ability to utilize the latest tech to produce high-quality output that resonates with customers remains an art as much as a science. I have been perfecting this craft for two decades.

Lead writer focused on crafting user-centric language systems as part of a complete reboot of LG USA's D2C e-commerce platform. Developed copy systems across varied contexts, from UI components to editorial and support text. Collaborated with business leads to plot customer journeys, use cases and high-level requirements. Devised task scenarios for comprehensive usability testing, including surveys and A/B testing. Achieved a 50% increase in on-site conversions after 16 months.
Co-creator of a weekly thought leadership newsletter covering the intersection of music, tech and brands/marketing, subscribed to by over 6,000 international entertainment and marketing industry professionals, including executives at Sony, Warner, Live Nation, Amazon, Mastercard, Coca-Cola, Nike and T-Mobile.
Senior YouTube content writer teaching holistic marketing practices to an international audience of over 220k subscribers with 20M annual views. Piloted the editorial vision of industry-pioneering media brand committed to emerging music and culture. Managed global team of writers, photographers, illustrators and designers. Collaborated with in-house marketing agency The Rebel Organization to provide content and experiential marketing services to clients, including Apple, Toyota, Sauza, Microsoft and Asics.
