Who you are: An experienced and skilled parenting writer who's raising/raised a kid or two (or three) and knows a thing or two (or three) about potty training, behavioral issues, picky eating, sleepless nights, and all the other fun, frustrating, and rewarding parts of being a parent.
Not a parent? Writers with backgrounds in early education, child psychology, or even a strong interest and willingness to research and learn are welcome as well. We are also hiring writers with the following backgrounds:
- Nursing or Medicine
- Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy
- Teaching
- Special Education
- Social Work
Who we are: An established parenting site (launched in 2006) that’s growing fast and looking to cover topics of interest to parents of young children.
Requirements
Native English speaker. Preferably located in North America or UK/Europe.
Experience writing about parenting or similar topics related to children ages 0-5. Writing samples required.
Able to research and write in-depth content according to our style and content guidelines.
Rate: 4 cents per word.
Details
Articles are typically around 1-2,000 words. Volume is flexible based on your availability. Many of our writers average one article per week, but others contribute more or less frequently.
We have an established editorial process and content guidelines and will provide plenty of constructive feedback. Detailed content briefs will be provided.
You’ll be writing primarily long-form informational content, as well as some roundup product reviews. Writing and editing is done in Google Docs, with Surfer SEO as a writing assistant (training provided).
Payments are made upon article completion for writers. Most of our writers use bank transfer (our preference due to low fees) or PayPal. Other payment platforms are also fine based on your preference.
