We are looking for writers deeply passionate about comparing website making platforms, web hosting companies, Email Service Providers (ESPs) and the like.
The ideal writer has a passion for digging deep, doing the research and publishing amazing, informative content. At The Budget Diet, we’re building the go-to guide for people looking to build their own website, start their own blog, and build their email list. We aim to provide actionable knowledge that is not only wise and calming, but also uplifting and actionable. The perfect writer would be an enthusiastic web-tools enthusiast excited to contribute to the best online resource for themselves and others like them!

The Budget Diet is a side-gig and saving-money website aimed at helping people make and save a little more money. We strongly believe talented, creative, independent people working together can make the world a better place!
Responsibilities
- Work within the WordPress Editor to draft original content that follows brand voice/tone guidelines and audience profiles, as well as hits readability metrics.
- Each article will be a minimum of 1700 words.
- Add relevant headers, images and links (internal, external, product links) to format articles to hit brand guidelines and SEO standards
Skills
- Expert speaking, writing, and reading English fluency
- Familiarity with readability scores such as Flesch-Kincaid Reading Ease
- Comfortable being in writing workflow with back-and-forth feedback with editors
- Experience applying SEO best practices to web content
- Experience writing affiliate product content
Commitment
We are currently looking for writers interested in writing 2-10 articles of 1,700 words each week. For writers that are a good fit with our brand, we will offer steady work for several months.
We are able to offer $55/article (which includes 1700 words researched, with formatting and images) which works out to be a bit over $0.03/word.
