I am looking for an experienced blogger with a strong interest in history and/or vintage products to help launch a new site.

My new site, The Old Timey, is a place to learn about vintage products, new items inspired by the past, old-fashioned customs and trades, historical figures, and more.

Our site aims to explore how, as we learn about these products and customs, we can integrate old fashioned values of simplicity, authenticity, craftsmanship, and quality leisure time with family and friends into our modern lives.

I am seeking writing partners to produce at least 1 article per week. Articles must be at least 1000 words.

The tone of the posts should be neutral, informative, thoroughly researched and entertaining (without the fluff).

The goal is to truly inform our readers and build an audience of enthusiastic collectors, hobbyists, or anyone who is looking to find some old-timey inspiration in their lives.

There should be enough detail and substance to provide real value to the reader, but the content needs to be easy to digest and written for a broad audience.

Categories on the site will include home and garden, sports and recreation, technology, food and drink, fashion, arts and culture, and more.

The articles will be a mix of informative overviews on a specific historical topic, entertaining list posts or how-tos about an old-timey aspect of our culture, and in-depth reviews of items in the marketplace.

For example, one topic might explore characteristics of late 19th century leisure time. Another article will highlight how to make old-timey candy. And another article will review the 10 best cast iron teapots. These are just examples. I have several other topics and would also be open to topic suggestions from the writers.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please reply with a summary of your experience, explanation of your interest in the old-timey theme of this site, and a couple examples of your work.

And native English speaking only please... thank you!
