The qualified person should be able to write attention-grabbing, intelligent, useful, high-quality articles related to home decor, garden&lawn, pets, plants, maintenance & renovation, aquarium, chicken, food, and parenting.
EXPERIENCE
- We prefer a person with writing experience for online publications, but we will accept new writers with exceptional hands-on experience.
- Ideally with writing samples, and background. Please note previous work must be under your name.
- Familiarity with SEO (internal linking, keyword research, content optimizations, SEmrush, SurferSEO)
You should have polished writing skills and at least a passing familiarity with Grammarly and spellcheck in Word. We like writers who know their stuff AND jump off the page with personality and engagement. No stodgy, academic writing here. We’re people writing for people.
Native English-speakers only. This is non-negotiable. You must also be intimately familiar with writing for a US audience and not be afraid
The right person should:
- Write in an entertaining way (no fluff) so that it engages our audience
- Produce well-researched content that covers topics comprehensively (word count can be anywhere from 1,000 to 4,500 words)
- Know how to choose good quality images
- Should be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing fast-changing deadlines.
