Responsibilities and requirements for the writer will include:
• Write and produce accurate, lively and concise posts at a minimum of 300 words for a leading entertainment news website, three days during the week, and on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Write strong headlines and some social media posts.
• Strong interest in and basic knowledge of SEO.
• Ability to jump on breaking and major news stories that make sense for the brand’s general audience, quickly turning around articles with sharp, story-advancing approaches and angles.
• Ability to identify fresh and interesting stories that have not already been widely shared.
• Clearly communicate across company's multiple editorial departments and contributors.
• Track down sources quickly for interviews when and where necessary.
