Hi! My name is Josh and I run a coffee-themed blog where we create content about topics from product reviews to troubleshooting to recipes and more!
While the site is still relatively small, we have had some notable success with google rankings and SEO traffic and would like to build on that success by bringing on at least one freelance writer to create more blog content.
We currently have a backlog of content ideas ready to go and are excited to begin to scale our site with your help!
We are looking for a part-time SEO writer to join our team
Requirements
Experience and knowledge in the coffee niche.
Experience writing content for SEO.
Able to provide 3 original web samples of SEO-focused written content for review.
An understanding of how to write SEO-focused content.
A resourceful attitude. We will provide an outline but you will need to research the topics you are writing about without any help from us so being resourceful is a must.
Ability to follow directions and a desire to learn from feedback.
Ability to download the free Grammarly chrome extension and achieve a score of 98+ and under 2% plagiarism on every article written.
Quality, easy-to-read writing style.
English Speaking.
Workload
Writers will write 2 articles per week (2,000 - 3,000 words) This workload can increase over time as the website grows.
Pay
Pay is between 5-8 cents per word depending on the writer's experience and skills. AND if a post you've written reaches 1,000+ page views per month, your payment for that article will be doubled. (6 cents per word for a 1500-word article = $90 + 1,000 pageviews per month = $180 total for that article)
Application Process
Fill out the attached google form. Based on the applications and 3 original writing samples we will select 5-10 writers. We will then give those writers a paid test article. Then based on the quality of those test articles we will hire a writer.
