Sure, you have a way with words. Sure, you know how to turn a phrase. Sure, you can write original content – but are these skills married to a deep understanding of SEO best practices and a marketer’s ability to envision how the audience will interact with your content?

As a blogger for ContactMonkey, you’ll be a part of the world’s best email tracking service’s exciting new initiative – building our online presence by producing a range of insightful, compelling blog posts.

These won’t just be short articles of fluff or filler content. The idea of these blog posts is to create long-form content packed with insights and knowledge that our audiences can – and will – actually use.

Responsibilities

• Craft relevant, original content. An understanding of ContactMonkey’s services – and/or the industry we are leaders in – will be essential to creating successful content.
• Catering posts to suit long tail keywords for SEO is vital. You’ll want to stay ahead of the trends and know what phrases and words are specific to ContactMonkey’s mission. We will offer guidance, but you’ll also need to know how to navigate these trends yourself.
• Have an understanding of – and/or experience in – writing about email marketing, email tracking, marketing tools, and/or Salesforce is a massive plus.

Skills

• Copyediting skills. You’re a stickler for grammar and punctuation and have a deep appreciation for word and sentence variety.
• Creative writing. You’re able to explain technical content compellingly, but can mix up your tone – especially with humor. Nor are you afraid to use a funny GIF or two.
• Deadline-driven & detail-oriented. You must be able to meet deadlines and take pleasure in the details. The ability to work from an editorial calendar is a plus.
• Content management/marketing skills. Throw in some basic Photoshop skills, as well as a working knowledge of how to format in WordPress and use SEO and this will be a walk in the park.
• A knowledge of SEO tools like SEMRush and Ahrefs is an incredible asset.
