Who we are: Spread Great Ideas (SGI) is a digital marketing fund that invests capital and sweat equity into e-commerce brands that promote liberty, civil rights, and personal sovereignty.

SGI is a 100% remote team with team members on 5 continents. Our brands are fast-growing and in a variety of niches.
We're currently using HARO and Qwoted to earn links back to our websites and help them gain further recognition and traction online. So far some of our brands have been mentioned on USA Today, CEO Blog Nation, Build Remote, Zenefits, and more!
What we’re looking for: A talented PR professional or copywriter who enjoys going after an opportunity and landing it!
You would be pitching our founder and other team members as potential sources for HARO and Qwoted requests.
On a daily basis you will create pitches around a wide range of topics including:
- Overseas travel, including staying connected when abroad.
- Tech, including optimal work/life balance strategies and GSD tactics.
- Marketing, including strategies to grow digital brands.
- Outdoor life, including hunting, fishing, and off-grid living.
- Business operations, including running remote teams and being an effective leader and communicator.
- Crypto, including commentary on what's happening in DeFi.
You need to have excellent attention to detail, as well as the ability to quickly research topics and create dynamic, personalized emails.
Reporters are looking for “sound-bites” to feature and we're looking for the writer who can provide them.
Requirements:
- Ability to research and speak authoritatively on a wide range of topics
- Almost daily, part-time availability
- Excellent English grammar and spelling
- Experience pitching reporters
- Knowledge of either HARO or Qwoted
- Outstanding written communication skills
- Personable writing style
- Responsible work attitude and able to meet reporter deadlines when needed

Base + bonus comp structure:
