Role Overview
Crealon Media is seeking an experienced Crime Scriptwriter to create high impact, research driven, cinematic scripts for YouTube channels with large global audiences. This role focuses on true crime, criminal cases, unsolved mysteries, and investigative storytelling. The ideal candidate understands YouTube narrative psychology and can translate complex cases into gripping, scene based scripts.
Key Responsibilities
Research real world crime cases, court documents, media reports, and credible sources independently
Write long form YouTube scripts that follow a cinematic storytelling structure, not blog or commentary formats
Develop strong narrative arcs with clear introduction, escalation, and resolution
Break scripts into multiple connected snippets, each functioning as a distinct scene
Include timestamps, footage references, and source links where required
Maintain factual accuracy while maximising suspense and emotional engagement
Deliver scripts consistently within agreed deadlines
Adhere strictly to originality standards and internal writing guidelines
Content Scope
True crime and criminal investigations
Unsolved mysteries and cold cases
Psychological and behavioural analysis within crime narratives
Investigative and exposé style storytelling
Requirements
Proven experience writing true crime or crime focused YouTube scripts
Strong independent research capability and source verification skills
Demonstrated understanding of YouTube storytelling structure and audience retention
Ability to write immersive, scene driven narratives
Excellent written English with strong pacing and clarity
High reliability, consistency, and attention to detail
100 percent original writing, AI generated or rephrased content is not permitted
Role Details
Script Length: Approximately 2,000 words per script
Payment Method: Upwork or paypal
Workload: Up to 4 scripts per week after probation

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a trial task
Trial submissions must follow both general writing guidelines and crime specific guidelines
