Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic editor who is an extremely meticulous & detail-oriented perfectionist to join our food and recipe blog.
You'll be working closely with our writers to transform their content into highly polished blog posts that are fully optimized for On-Page SEO.
The SEO part we can teach you as we have templates and processes for optimizing each post.
As long as you've got the writing chops, enjoy working with a fast-paced team, and are able to transform good articles into great articles that captivate the reader from the first sentence to the last: then you're someone we'd love to hear from!
Responsibilities:
* Proofread/edit 2,000 words per day (Monday through Friday).
* You'll also be adding a recipe to each post. The recipe itself is already written but will require a few tweaks to fit our specific style. If you enjoy food and recipes, even better!
* Rewrite the first few paragraphs in a fun, engaging style that immediately captivates the reader. We're looking to create fun, conversational articles that are also extremely informative. We believe that if you have fun writing it, our audience will enjoy reading it!
* Perform On-Page SEO Optimization. (This part we can train you on. We have processes and checklists that you can easily model for each article.)

Skills / Experience Required:
1) Excellent English Skills (This is a must.)
2. Fantastic Writing Skills
3) Experience in researching and writing in-depth articles
4) Ability to proofread each article for grammar, sentence structure, style, and flow. Eliminate wordiness and improve overall readability.
5) Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc...
6) Familiarity with WordPress (especially in regards to publishing and editing blog posts)
7) Fast typing speed
8) Fast and reliable internet
9) Detail-oriented (borderline perfectionist)
This is a part-time position for 3 hours per day. But if we make a good match and you'd like additional work, there is certainly room for growth.
