Context: I'm hiring a few content writers on behalf of my SEO client, curbFlow. curbFlow is computer vision software that helps physical businesses derive insights from security camera footage. curbFlow’s clients work with curbFlow to improve business processes based on metrics they’re able to track using those cameras. Examples of clients include restaurants, retail shops, railroad stations, and more. curbFlow is building a blog pipeline
Purpose: As a content writer, you will be assigned article topics to research and deliver as 500 - 1,500 word long form blog-like pieces
Qualifications: Besides general content writing experience, having experience with any of the following topics is a plus: computer vision, retail businesses, restaurant businesses, hospitality businesses, construction/development businesses, CRE, parking lot/garage businesses, operating bars/clubs, casino business, operating theme parks, operating shopping mall real estate, managing office buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Accept writing assignments over email
- Do thorough internet research on the topic and craft it to a concise but comprehensive educational long form blog post telling readers all they need to know about the topic
- Deliver content pieces in Google Docs
- You will be provided an SEO optimization tool called Clearscope that will help guide your writing and ensure you are covering the minimum necessary topics
- After delivering a piece of content, expect editor feedback within ~1 week, which might lead to some rounds of revisions by you
Commitment: We will provide you with 1-2 article topics per month, and expect at most a 1 week turnaround on a first draft of each article. Initially, expect 1-2 assignments in a “trial” period before we ask you continue writing regularly. If things go well, we could ramp up to doing a cadence closer to 1 article per week.
Compensation: We will pay your rate and are willing to pay more for relevant experience, but ultimate will come back with more articles to the writers who provide great quality at a fair price.
