Experienced entertainment news writers are preferred but we will consider anyone if you can demonstrate a solid writing style and head for news.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of your favorite reality TV shows — you never miss an episode
  • You love following all your favorite cast members on social media to see what they’re up to, and are up on all the latest gossip in the groups on Facebook
  • You can spot a great story when you see one
  • You have the time to write for several hours most days, including the nights that your shows are on TV
  • An excellent grasp of grammar and a clear, easy-to-undersand writing style
  • Good computer literacy, including the ability to edit, resize and crop photos
  • Based in the USA

Bonus points

  • Previous experience writing about reality TV
  • Knowledge of WordPress
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Experience building and maintaining a social media following
  • Being flexible so you can work weekends, weekdays, and weeknights as needed

About the role

  • You will be required to provide in-depth coverage of the TV shows to which you are assigned, and also to help out with covering other shows you are familiar with as required
  • Coverage will include stories about what happens on the shows, as well as what happens off-camera
  • Pay is on a per-story basis
  • Remote freelance work — you can work from home, or your favorite coffee shop!
  • Become part of a friendly and growing team
  • Flexible hours, although you must have the time to realistically write four to six stories a day at least five days a week — including the nights when your shows are on TV.
