Monsters and Critics is looking for dedicated writers to join our expanding team covering reality TV.

If you love reality TV, then this is the job for you!

We currently have openings for the following (NOTE: All the shows we cover are the US versions):

90 DAY FIANCE WRITER

— You will extensively cover 90 Day Fiance on TLC and all its spin-offs. You will work under our Reality TV Editor, writing news articles based on what happens on the shows, as well as what the cast are getting up to off-camera, for example on their social media.

To apply for this role, you must be a die-hard 90 Day Fiance fan and know the show and all its spin-offs inside out. You should be up-to-date on all the spin-offs, follow the cast members on social media, and know what fans are talking about in all the groups on Facebook.

You will be expected to contribute at least 20 stories (roughly 20 hours) a week. You must be able to commit to writing on the nights when new episodes air, as well as some other days/evenings during the week or at weekends.

SISTER WIVES WRITER

— You will extensively cover the show Sister Wives on TLC. You will work under our Reality TV Editor, writing news articles based on what happens on the show, as well as what Kody, Robyn, Janelle, Meri and Christine are getting up to off-camera, for example on their social media.

To apply for this role, you must be a die-hard Sister Wives fan and know the show inside out. You should be up-to-date on the show, follow the family on social media, and know what fans are talking about in all the groups on Facebook.

You will be expected to contribute at least 20 stories (roughly 20 hours) a week. You must be able to commit to writing on the nights when new episodes air, as well as some other days/evenings during the week or at weekends.

MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT WRITER

— You will extensively cover the American version of Married at First Sight (on Lifetime). You will work under our Reality TV Editor, writing news articles based on what happens on the show, as well as what current and former couples are up to off camera, for example on their social media.

To apply for this role, you must be a die-hard Married at First Sight fan and know the show inside out. You should be up-to-date on the show, follow current and former cast members on social media, and know what fans are talking about in all the groups on Facebook.

You will be expected to contribute at least 20 stories (roughly 20 hours) a week. You must be able to commit to writing on the nights when new episodes air, as well as some other days/evenings during the week or at weekends.

WEEKEND REALITY TV WRITER

— This role is for writers who can commit to working Saturdays and/or Sundays on a weekly basis.

Working under our Reality TV Editor, you will write news articles about a variety of reality TV shows.

To apply for this role, you MUST be familiar with most, if not all, of the following shows and franchises:

The Real Housewives of Orange County
The Real Housewives of New York
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Sister Wives
Married at First Sight
90 Day Fiance franchise
Teen Mom franchise

If applying for this role, please specify which shows you know well, and which you don’t. For those you know well, you should know them inside out, be up-to-date on all the latest episodes, follow current and former cast members on social media, and know what fans are talking about in all the groups on Facebook.

You must be able to commit to writing at least four stories (roughly four hours) per day on either Saturdays, or Sundays, or both.

GENERAL INFO

Articles are paid on a per-story basis.

Excellent grammar and punctuation is a must.

Excellent communication skills are a must.

Knowledge of WordPress is a bonus, although not required.

Knowledge of basic photo editing skills (resizing, cropping, adjusting exposure etc) is a bonus, although not required.

Prior experience is a BIG bonus, although not required.

For all roles, you will initially only write stories based on ideas given to you by our Reality TV Editor. Later on, you may have the opportunity to research and find your own stories as well.
