We're looking for content writers with experience in the mortgage, real estate or financial markets to write engaging, high-value articles for our blog that educates our audience.
We're specifically looking for actionable, practical useful and EVERGREEN content that teaches our audience the “how to’s” and tips to reduce the overwhelm that goes along with buying a home and getting a mortgage.
You should be familiar with the mortgage and real estate markets. Ideally you’re also familiar with content marketing powerhouses like Backlinko, QuickSprout, Neil Patel, Unbounce, GrooveHQ or similar sites.
We’re looking to bring the value of a Neil Patel or Brian Dean type article to the mortgage market and we won’t accept anything of lesser quality.

- BankRate.com
- NerdWallet.com
Our readers are consumers (first time home buyers and experienced home buyers) who are looking for information on mortgages, wanting to leverage some of our mortgage tools or looking to get a mortgage. Often in that order.
We're looking for pieces that are +2,500 words (we average 3,000 words per article) and follow our formatting guidelines as it relates to reference links, headlines, images, etc.

We have some strict guidelines, here’s an example:
- For every 1,000 words of content, there should be 5 - 15 outbound links to influencers and references in the space for later promotion
We are not - at this time - interested in opinion pieces, narratives or "soft" motivational pieces (mindset, generic goal-setting etc).
We’re looking to work with people initially on a per article basis. If we like your work then we’ll bring you on a monthly contract for a set number of articles per month or we’ll hire you full time.
Please send an outline of a pitch article with a proposed headline and five bullet points to summarize the content.
Please also send along two examples of articles that you have written that you feel would be a good fit.
You must know a bit about the WordPress platform as we’ll require that you enter your content into our WordPress site yourself (images and all - ready to publish).
