Who you are: An experienced and skilled freelance writer who's raising/raised a kid or two (or three) and knows a thing or two (or three) about potty training, behavioral issues, picky eating, sleepless nights, and all the other fun, frustrating, and rewarding parts of being a parent.
Not a parent? Writers with backgrounds in early education, child psychology, or even a strong interest and willingness to research and learn are welcome as well.
Who we are: An established parenting site (launched in 2006) initially focused on special needs that is growing and looking to cover topics of interest to parents of all young children. You can find us at WonderBaby.org.
Requirements
Native English speaker. Being located outside the US is fine.
Experience writing about parenting or similar topics related to children ages 0-5. Writing samples required.
Able to research and write in-depth content according to our style and content guidelines.
Rate: 3.5 cents per word.
Details
Articles are typically around 2,000 words. We're looking for someone who can produce around 4,000 words per week to start, with the potential to scale up to as many as 10,000 words per week. We can be flexible on volume but would like to see at least 4,000 words per week.
We have an established editorial process and set of content guidelines and will offer plenty of constructive feedback. Detailed content briefs will be provided.
You’ll be writing primarily long-form informational content, as well as some roundup product reviews. For the reviews, you’ll be provided with a list of products that you'll research so you're able to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Payments are made biweekly via PayPal. Other payment platforms are also fine based on your preference.
If successful, we will get in touch with a short writing test, which you'll be compensated for.
