Description

Company Overview
Baylor Line Foundation is a nonprofit founded in 1859 that is based in downtown Waco, TX. Our mission is to make the Baylor Family better through vivid storytelling and engaging events that continue the legacy of every Baylor Bear. The value we deliver to current students, recent graduates, and seasoned alums includes an award-winning magazine; live events; in-depth interviews with experts and leaders; community connection opportunities; and engaging, narrative driven podcasts. We’re a 170-year-old organization with the high growth, mission-driven, and always-innovating reputation of a fresh startup. And we are looking for a contract Newsletter Editor to join our team of A-Players and assist in managing our content and production operations.

Position Overview
This is a contract role in our Content Department, reporting to our Chief Content Officer, Jonathon Platt, and will work with various contractors and all necessary stakeholders to manage the execution of and maximize efficiency for our growing newsletter offerings. This role will need to be adaptable to a wide range of projects, with a greater focus on digital content. For this role, you’re free to work remotely from anywhere in the continental US. Typical hours for this role will need to occur between the hours of 9am-5pm CST, Monday-Friday. While this role has a flexible working schedule, remote working option, and is part-time, you will need to perform most of your duties during a typical working day.

Position Mission
Our Newsletter Editor will empower the mission and vision of Baylor Line Foundation by providing exceptional copywriting, stellar judgment and self-management, unparalleled and deadline-driven attention-to-detail, and servant-hearted support for our Chief Content Officer and Content Department projects.

The objective of the Newsletter Editor is to develop, implement, and improve an effective newsletter strategy for our nonprofit news organization. By delivering on high-quality  newsletter management, the Newsletter Editor will be a key asset to the CCO, allowing him to focus on his most important outcomes: vision and strategy for all aspects of content at Baylor Line Foundation so that we can reach our revenue, profitability, and subscriber acquisition goals.
