Home Products (Smart Home, Electronics) Writers Needed

We are looking for writers who are interested in writing about the latest products for homes. This also includes the latest smart home products.

Our focus at the moment is on vacuums, robot vacuums and other cleaning products.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Reviewing Products (For example Vacuums, Air Purifiers, Smart Doorbells, etc.)
   1. The reviews will be based on comprehensive research of other sources (customer reviews, expert reviews, YouTube videos).
      The writing needs to have some flow to carry the reader through the review.
   2. Writing style must be objective and authoritative
   3. Here are some examples of the quality that we are looking for:

2. Create In-Depth Buying Guides (For example Best Robotic Vacuums)
   1. The buying guides must contain multiple products and should guide the user to the smartest purchase for their use case
3. Create how-to guides, tips, and knowledge-base articles. The purpose of these articles is to help the reader, and not sell them any product or whatsoever.

We have writing guidelines that you will be given, they are very straightforward.

Who We Are Looking For:

If you're interested in researching online about home products (and are good at it) and writing from the comfort of your home or a remote location. Some technical knowledge is needed as we cover mainly electronic devices.

You must be able to write fluent English with no/very rare grammatical or spelling mistakes. We recommend using Grammarly to aid you.

Furthermore, we will be communicating via Slack, and the articles are assignment-based, but you are allowed to pitch your own ideas, which we will happily review.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Fluent English writing and spelling
• Technical know-how - you must possess at least some technical knowledge since most of our products will be electronic products.
• A plus if you have some prior professional writing experience. If not, convince us
• Reliable - you must be able to commit the amount of hours/words that you apply with, and the content must be consistently good, as we aim for highly-researched and high-quality content only.

Payment:

• We pay via PayPal every month
• You can bid hourly and per word, but we prefer hourly as our experience has shown that hourly paid writers research a lot more - and since research is one of the most important requirements, you must ensure that if you apply with a per-word rate, your articles are always highly researched and not rushed.

• Your background and relevant experience
• How many hours/words you will be able to commit per week (estimates are OK)
• 1-2 articles that you've made before that resembles some of the article types that we're looking for. Not required, but it's a plus.
• Your rate (if hourly, include your hourly rate, and if per word, include your rate per 100 words).
