Description
Hey there,
My name is Mauricio, CEO of Cloudwards.net.
We're looking to strengthen our writing team with a few people that are interested in writing about software (with a focus on backup, storage, project management and VPNs). If that sounds like a good fit for you, keep reading to see what we offer and what we expect.
About working with Cloudwards:
All Cloudwards.net writers and editors are fully remote freelancers spread around the world. We publish several articles every day, Monday through Friday. You can work as much as you want, though we set a minimum of one article or review per week.
Word count usually runs between 1,000 and 3,000. Generally, all pieces will go through three editorial rounds, meaning it takes roughly a week from first submission for it to appear on the site. Most of our current team publish around one to three pieces per week.
We invoice on the 25th to pay promptly before the 1st.
Cloudwards Reviews/Writers
What we’re looking for are people with native or near-native written English and who are comfortable with American use and style. You need to care about our readers and be willing to put in that extra bit of effort to properly inform them of the purchases they’re considering. You need to really be into how software works and translating that into solid copy that really gets into the nitty-gritty.
If all the above sounds good to you, click on this link to access the Google Form where you can submit your application.
We need:
- Your full name
- Gmail address (or one routed through Gmail; we work in Google Drive)
- Links to published pieces or your portfolio
- A short cover letter describing why you want to work for us
- Your resume
- Your per-word rate
If we like what we see, we’ll invite you to write an unpaid trial review of 500 words that we won’t publish. If all that goes well, we’ll have a quick video chat to answer any remaining questions before inviting you to join the team.
Please note that we will only be responding to applications submitted via the Google Form. Good luck!
