Our open digital resources gives people the tools they need to experience nature in powerful ways. Whether they are hiking through a forest or exploring the depths of the ocean, we’re here to help make it possible.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We’re seeking a knowledgeable outdoor adventurer who has excellent writing skills. This person would help us create informative and practical web and video content.
We have 6 activities that we need experts for: hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, snow sports and outdoor photography. Your role could include 1 or 2 activities.
The candidate should have extensive experience with at least one of the above activities. Expert knowledge of its gear and a passion to help people get started in the sport in a must. This position requires strong organizational skills, ability to research online and excellent writing skills. Applicants must have a high level of spoken and written English. This is a remote position, so you will be able work from anywhere in the world.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Writing content for a variety of digital projects, including web articles and emails.
· Manage our Facebook community group, including hosting a monthly Facebook Live event.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· Portfolio of articles that have been published on established websites.
· Expert knowledge about the activity(s).
· Previous experience working remotely.
· Previous experience managing online communities not required, but highly desired.
You will work with a fun and supportive team of people who share your passion for the outdoors. The minimum commitment is 20 hrs/week, with the possibility of growing into 40hrs/week. A one month trial period (paid) will be required for all candidates.
