About Me

I’m looking to grow my freelance writing business and pass on new client work to my ghostwriter. Initially, there won’t be much work, but the workload will grow as I land clients. 

At this point, I’m looking to have a ghostwriter handy so that I’m confident I have the bandwidth to complete new projects as I take them on. 

About the Job

I work mainly in the personal finance niche, though I do have clients in other areas. So, you’ll likely need to be a flexible writer content-wise.

I’m looking to pay $0.15+/word, depending on the client and complexity/requirements of the assignment. 

I try to give as much time as I can to complete assignments, but some turnaround times might only be a few business days for an article that’s about 1,000 words. Others are assigned at the beginning of the month, and then have weekly deadlines. 

I’d say the majority of articles don’t require revisions. Sometimes editors might come back with comments or I may have questions or suggestions for you. If I’m the one asking, then revisions may need to be taken care of right away depending on when my deadline is with the client. 

About You

I need a writer who:

  1. Speaks English fluently. 
  2. Submits articles on time. Every time. If you tend to send things late, please don't waste your time applying. Having a reliable ghostwriter I can count on to meet deadlines is of utmost importance.
  3. Is willing to read through editorial and brand guidelines and content briefs to make sure their voice/style/formatting is in line with the client's needs and that the articles meet the requirements asked for. Not all clients provide guides or briefs, but for the ones that do, it’s important to follow them. 
  4. Takes the feedback I give, makes a note of it, and implements it into future content with that client without me having to keep pointing out the same things multiple times.
  5. Creates dynamic articles with varying vocabulary use and sentence lengths (i.e. no choppy or repetitive sentences).
  6. Writes concisely. No fluff writing, sentences that don't add value, unnecessarily long-winded sentences, and unneeded words. 
  7. Is meticulous about their work and pays attention to detail. Please put the word Blue anywhere in the subject line of your email reply to this listing. This is important to be considered. 
  8. Writes in a conversational, yet authoritative tone.
  9. Keeps track of style guides before writing to make sure they’re following the client’s requested writing style. 

In short, I need a ghostwriter who submits concise articles on time, thoroughly proofread, with good flow and attention to detail. 

Bonus points if you:

  1. Already have and use the paid version of Grammarly or ProWritingAid as part of your proofreading process. These editors shouldn’t replace your own proofreading skills, but rather supplement them. 
  2. Can do a quick run of your copy through a plagiarism checker. Grammarly includes this in its paid version.
