Thank you for checking out my job post. My name is Joe, I am the founder of a website called ManVs.
We just launched a few months ago and due to wanting to have more than just myself writing content, I am going to hire a few freelance writers/editors.
This is an opportunity for both veteran writers as well as new writers to the online web writing community. Also, while the website may be "ManVs," we're also very open to female applicants.
We will be paying per-article in a range of $10 to $30. The amount shifts depending on the length we ask of you as well as any significant research.
I also give financial bonuses from time to time as well as Press Passes for some events. If we have you review any product such as a video game or piece of tech, we reimburse you for anything you pay out of pocket for.
People can apply from all over, as this is a fully remote position.
We'll need writers in the following categories:
- Entertainment/Pop Culture
- Gear (things like tools, outdoor equipment, and clothing)
We will also be doing Buyer's Guides on some products, particularly under the Technology and Gear sections. If you have any significant knowledge or experience in one or more of these sections, or experience writing Buyer's Guides, please do get in touch!
**We are looking for ONLY Native English Speakers/Writers or those fluent in speaking/writing in English. **
WordPress experience is a plus but is not required. We can always teach you how to use it but those with experience here are helpful.
Minor to major SEO knowledge, as well as the ability to work with a team and take constructive criticism, are also massive pluses.
We also love those that can pitch their own ideas!
**In your message, be sure to attach your resume as well as 2 to 3 writing samples. These can be attached or preferably if you have written for other websites, simply copy and paste a link to some of your best work.**
If you do not have a writing sample, we ask that you write one up and attach it. Simply write a 500-word piece on your favorite movie and why.
We also ask you to make sure to add any contact information if it is not included in the resume you send.
