He Spoke Style is an independent digital men's style and lifestyle publication and e-commerce platform dedicated to helping men dress well and increase their confidence.
We are looking to hire 3-5 writers to help write new articles according to our global marketing content calendar.
As our business continues to grow and expand into video and e-comm, we need your help to keep delivering our readers the high-quality written content they have come to expect over the past nine years.
Example topics include:
- Specific product reviews (e.g., Leatherology wallet review)
- Round ups (e.g., 10 best Common Projects alternatives)
- Brand overviews (e.g., everything you need to know about Barbour)
- Informational (e.g., chalk stripe vs. pinstripe: what’s the difference?)
- Buying guides (e.g., how to buy winter boots)
- Celebrity style (e.g., how to dress like George Clooney)
- Historical (e.g., a complete history of clubmaster sunglasses)

Broadly, here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Researching and writing new blog posts (e.g., How To Wear, 10 Best, ABC Review, etc.)
You do not need to be a professional or industry expert. In fact, curious and passionate enthusiasts are preferred! However, you should have some experience with menswear and genuinely love the topic and associated subject matter.
N.B. You do not need to take photos or provide artwork for your articles.
And here are the specifics about the position:
- We are interested in long-term relationships with our hires; you will receive between 2,000-5,000 words of writing per week based on your capacity
- Work remotely
- Get paid within 72 hours of article acceptance
- Email and Asana communication (i.e. no staff call)
- Flexible: work as much or as little as you want; we’ll work with your capacity
What's required?
- You must have a genuine interest in menswear and men’s lifestyle topics
- You must have some experience working with or writing about menswear
- You must be a native English writer
- You must live in the United States, UK, Australia, or Canada
- You must have the ability to meet deadlines
- How many ‘Thin Man’ movies are there? Please answer and list all movies in chronological order in your application.
- A computer with internet access, Google Docs and PayPal preferred
- Proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation are mandatory
- Can use research to create valuable articles with informative content that reads easily and like it was written by a human being for a human being
- A general knowledge of SEO best practices in written content a major plus
