We are a top tier venture-backed early stage startup building a platform for “financial caregivers” — the 45 million Americans who help their aging parents with their finances.
Our Goal
We are looking to start a blog to begin educating readers about this complex and sensitive area of their lives. Blog topics might include offering advice on areas like:
- How to have a conversation with your parents about their finances
- Legal considerations when managing your parents’ finances
- How best to collaborate with your siblings
While our blog does fit into our overall marketing strategy, our aim is not simply to create content for search engines. Rather, we are looking to create quality educational material that will teach the reader something they can use to navigate difficult situations.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a writer to help with the following tasks:
- Write 2-4 short-form blog posts per week (300-1000 words)
- Interview experts in a variety of fields that pertain to this subject, including: finance, caregiving, elder care, family psychology, law, and medicine
- Generate and research topics that will be informative and educational to financial caregivers
Our Ideal Candidate
- Native English speaker with exceptional written and communication skills
- Strong research skills, can learn about new topics independently
- Strong interviewing skills
- Basic understanding of content marketing and SEO best practices
- Journalism background a plus
- Bonus: Experience writing about personal finance and/or caregiving
- Bonus: Personal experience acting as a financial caregiver for a loved one
