Hello ProBloggers, our team at High Ground (www.highgroundgaming.com) is looking for new contributors to join our team.
Nature of the Work:
- Writing game guides, walkthroughs, and roundups for popular games
- Write in a clear and concise way so gamers can easily follow your steps and advice
- Incorporate SEO and keyword best practices
- Adhere to a style guide and writing briefs
- Work alongside an editor to improve your writing
- Regular check-ins (phone or IM)
The Ideal Candidate Possesses:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field or 1-2 years of experience writing professionally preferred
- Experience with popular titles – you play (or played) a game often and have enough skill to write guides and/or walkthroughs
- Ability to take in-game screenshots - you know what's visually appealing and understand how to complement your written word with images (you will be compensated extra for screenshots)
- Familiar with the competition – know PCGamer, Polygon, Gamespot, etc. and comprehend how they are structuring their guide content
- Excellent English writing skills and attention to detail
- WordPress, G Suite, and Asana platform experience a plus
- Ability to create videos to supplement your writing would lead to bonus compensation
