Description
PC World is looking for experienced bloggers to contribute mornings (East Coast hours) to PCWorld.com's Today@PCWorld blog.
Compensation is a combination flat-rate and a per-page-view payment formula.
Ideal candidates will file 5-8 blogs entries each week.
PCW is looking for bloggers to create daily entries covering the consumer technology world. Blog topics run the gamut from handhelds, hardware, software, Web service, tech-related legislation, and breaking news. PC World blogs are typically newsy, but also encouraged is first-person perspectives on the day's headlines.
Bloggers would receive assignments and also be expected to pitch their own ideas.
Qualifications:
* Excellent writing and reporting skills: prose with flair and a dash of humor
* An analytical mind: the ability to read between the numbers and tell a story
* Love of technology: interest in all things tech - from games, gadgets, culture, and news
* Internet savvy: ability to spot stories, trends, and communicate a unique perspective
Bloggers work remotely, however would be in close contact with Boston-based PC World editors.
