The Role
Moment is the fastest-growing online marketplace for creatives.
We are looking for freelance SEO writers. Technical writers who understand the products we sell and who want to contribute to better on page content. From specific product pages to shop category pages we’re looking for additional support as our marketplace grows.
We are looking for writers who can cover the following categories.
- Photography - products for enhancing the photos you shoot.
- Filmmaking - gear video creatives rely on.
- Film - covering all analog products
- Studio - at home, studio gear.
- Travel - gear for remote work and traveling.
If you have technical writing experience and have experience with the products we sell, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
As a freelance writer you’ll be working with an in-house editor who will assign pages, edit your work, and help you complete each page. For each page we’ll provide the basic keywords to focus on, you’ll add your own research, and then write copy that is both easy to understand and SEO sound. Although technical in nature, we’re looking for writers with a conversational style of voice.
Core responsibilities include:
- Pick up pre-approved pages to write next.
- Publish at least 2 pages a week.
- Integrate the identified keywords, while keeping the voice casual and easy to understand.
- Collaborate with an in-house editor to review, edit, and make any final pages.
- Work directly in Monday (our project management tool) to keep timelines updated.
Qualifications

- Experience writing SEO, product, or technical content.
- Experience communicating products and features.
- Familiarity with the products and brands we sell on the site
- Passionate about photo, video, or travel.
- Enthusiastic about product and keyword research.
- Able to provide timelines per page and deliver on time.
- Skilled at making complicated tech easy to understand.
- Ability to invoice us as a freelance writer.
Compensation
We use a budget-per-word system that meets or exceeds industry standard rates. Invoices are paid promptly every month for all articles written in that month.
