Freelance Home Decor/Interior Design Writer Requirements

We’re looking for freelance home decor/interior design writers who can contribute 2-3 articles per month on a regular basis.

Requirements:

• Writers would have to be passionate about home decor/interior design. Good knowledge & experience of home decor/interior design/architecture writing is a big plus.
• Ability to research and create 100% unique articles based on keywords/layouts provided, and bring new ideas in this field.

Qualifications:

• US or Canadian citizenship (proof required)
• Experience writing for online publications/blog(s)
• Background in architect/journalism/freelance writing in DIY/ Home Decor/Interior Design niche
• Good with deadlines
• Familiar with SEO techniques (on-page SEO, keyword research, semantic SEO) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Produce coherent well-written articles of 1700 - 3,000+ words on a topic related to interior design, decorating, home improvement, craft.

We will provide you with detailed layout/ideas for writing, or you can suggest topics to expand the site.

• Some topics we want to cover include but are not limited to:
  • Home decorating - write about room & home decorating tips.
  • Home improvement, makeovers
  • DIY/craft
• Finding/Taking/Providing royalty-free illustrations for the article if possible. For DIY & How to Projects, you must provide illustrative images (best if you can use your own photos to ensure authenticity)
