Authors at Textbroker
Textbroker US (www.textbroker.com) only employs authors located within the United States that are native English-speaking. Author star levels are used to determine the orders that are available for you to write. Current star levels range from 2-star to 5-star and an initial sign-up article is used to determine your star level. You’re able to move up to a higher star level as your writing improves!
Order Types and Availability
There are three main order types on our platform.
- Open Orders – These orders are listed by star level. You are able to write any available open orders at or below your current star level. We currently have an average of 3500 open orders available on our platform to be completed by authors. Except for 5-star authors, these orders pay less than other order types and are a good way to build experience to get picked for other order types.
- Team Orders – These orders are available to authors who are a member of a team that is specific to a client or order topic. We currently have an average of 6000 team orders available on our platform to be completed by authors. Typical pay per word is at least double the 4-star OpenOrder pay and can often be multiple times higher.
- Direct Orders – These orders are sent directly to an author from a client. This typically occurs once an author and a client have established a rapport. Typical pay per word is more than double the 4-star OpenOrder pay and can often be multiple times higher.
Pay and Incentives
Textbroker authors are freelancers, paid per word for orders accepted. Depending on the length of the order, 4-star authors can earn on average $12.00-$25.00 per hour with 5-star authors earning $25.00+ per hour.
New 4-star authors earn bonus (TBTY Welcome Bonuses) totaling $15 after completing their first 2500 words. Authors who earn over $3000 per quarter get bonuses (TBTY Quarterly Bonuses) of roughly 5% of what they earn. TBTY stands for Textbroker Thank You!
In addition, Textbroker has recently established an author referral program. Once you have signed up and established yourself as an active author on our platform, you’re eligible to participate in the program! Refer another new author to Textbroker, and both you and the referred authors will earn bonuses tied to how much the referred author writes.
