We are looking for someone based in the US or Canada with a good command of the English language to write weekly blog posts of 1000-2000 words related to the fitness industry.

The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of the fitness industry (particularly Crossfit style and/or garage gym environments), great research skills, and excellent writing skills.

The process would start with finding a great blog post on a DIY particular topic (for example, how to build a plyometric box at home). Then the writer would do research on other great blog posts on this topic and figure out how to answer as many potential questions as a novice reader might have on the topic. Our goal would be for our article to be by far the best one available on this particular topic. Our article should be the most user friendly and easiest to follow along with.

A great candidate would even go through the DIY process themselves, sourcing the materials, shooting photos every step of the way (phone quality are fine as long as the lighting is good), and documenting the whole process. An amazing candidate would even take short videos during the process, for example purchasing the supplies at Lowes or Home Depot, showing exactly which items they purchase, what measurements they give to the person who will cut the wood, etc.

We will provide the topics, as well as some brief instructions via video or audio about the specifics of what we are looking for, but it will be up to you to do the research on the content. It will also be up to you to determine exactly what photos need to be taken to best help the reader.

After completion and revision of the final article, the writer would upload to our blog as a draft and then send a brief email to relevant team members for them to make edits and post.

We’d like to start with one paid trial article, based around this one:

Here’s an example of the kind of article quality we are expecting (although it’s on a different topic):
