My small company is expanding and I’m looking for an experienced content writer that knows all about digital and tech to join the team on a freelance basis.
In a nutshell, we’re looking for someone who is highly reliable and communicative, experienced and who knows all about digital marketing, tech, online tools and software and other similar topics. Most of all, we want someone who has initiative and who loves research.
The role is very diverse and there will be lots of different types of content to write, from short 1200-word blog posts to super comprehensive and highly researched 4000-word how-to guides (and even longer content, occasionally!).
Responsibilities:
- Content creation: be able to create content in different formats (blog posts, how to guides, product reviews, infographics, tutorials, email marketing campaigns etc.). You will be expected to deliver a minimum of 15 pieces of content each month (or fewer if the content is longer) on a variety of subjects, from social media and content to SEO and sales
- Copywriting: although content creation would be your main responsibility, we also want someone who can write great sales copy, landing page copy, email marketing copy and so on
- Research: research is a big part of this job as you’ll need to create outstanding and actionable content that’s supported by research, as well as include relevant examples where needed and relevant statistics
What our ideal candidate looks like:
- Super knowledgeable about online marketing, tech and tools: social media, content marketing, email marketing, SEO, conversion optimization, sales, AI and AR, technology, software
- Beyond digital and tech topics, the ideal candidate should also be able to write compelling sales copy, either for landing pages, email marketing campaigns, social media profiles and so on
- Proficient English speaker and able to write in both UK and US English
- Have initiative and be able to come up with content outlines and topic ideas based on goals
- Highly communicative and quick to respond/deliver - we’re not unreasonable, we just want someone who communicates consistently and responds promptly
- Passionate about research as we want content that is highly researched and includes plenty of great examples throughout!
- Highly efficient and super productive with your time
- Able to work on their own, without too much direction/input
- Technical writing skills are a huge plus!
