Description

***UPDATE: 3/12/19

Thank you for all the people who have applied. We still have not found a Canadian journalist to write on Canadian homelessness. If that's you, please send your information to jobs (at) invisible people (dot) tv

If you are an EXPERIENCED journalist anywhere we'd still like to hear from you. We receive a lot of people responding that do not have professional work experience. Although we'd love to hire everyone, we are a small nonprofit can have limited resources. Only EXPERIENCED journalist should apply.

Invisible People is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about homelessness. We believe our inability to relate to homelessness is our biggest obstacle to ending it.

Our vision: We imagine a world where everyone has a place to call home. Until then, we strive to be the most trusted source for homelessness news, education, and advocacy.

We are looking to hire a few professional journalists and writers that have experience writing on homelessness.

Ideally, we'd like to hire someone that can write two 500-1000 word featured posts a week plus be able to produce a few short posts scrubbing content HuffPo style. If you cannot meet that frequency, we'd still like to hear from you.

We are also looking for writers in Canada and the United Kingdom that can write about homelessness in their countries on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Being a small nonprofit, we do not have a lot of money, but we believe people should be compensated for their work, so there is pay. Plus, articles will have bylines with links to author's websites, email, and social media.

Please only apply if you have knowledge of homelessness and experience writing about the related topics such as poverty, foster care, incarnation, racism, or any of the issues that affect homelessness.

If you'd like to help us make a positive difference through education and advocacy, please email resume and writing samples to:
