Experienced Editor for a Technology blog

Upcoming site JoyofApple.com (sister site of JoyofAndroid.com) is looking for an experienced editor on a part time basis (1 to 2 hours per weekday) to edit articles that will be published on the site.

Working closely with a team of writers, Editor will review, edit, feedback to writers and on some occasion will write articles. Editor will standover the quality of articles published and ensure that the content adheres to JoyofApple's standards and processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining the Joy of Apple content calendar
• Work with writers and feedback diplomatically
• Edit and proofread articles before they get published
• Ensure posts adhere to SEO best practices and internal guidelines
• Work hand in hand with content promotion team members to drive traffic with high quality and identifiable content
• Work closely with the Head of Content on strategic content initiatives and editorial team processes

You:

• Must own an Apple phone
• Own a Mac (optional)
• Must have some experience being an editor
• Have an understanding of the Apple space, applications and platforms
• Have the ability to work remotely and independently, while meeting deadlines
• Can motivate part time employees from across the globe to create great, compelling and informational content that drives readership
• Understand the value of readership metrics and content testing to inform editorial strategy
