We are seeking an experienced Content Editor available 30+ hours a week with excellent editorial, reading, writing, and organizational skills to be part of our growing team.

This position has flexible hours (within a GMT timezone) and lets you work from anywhere. You'll be working directly with a Content Manager in a start-up company of 100+ people, with many opportunities for promotion, bonuses, and advancement.

You will work alongside a Senior Editor who will delegate tasks to you on a daily/weekly basis

Editing Web Content and Articles 

  • Ensure articles follow our style guidelines and are well-written, skimmable, and provide great answers using provided SEO keywords.
  • Creating article briefs
  • Editing at least 20,000 words a week.
  • Rewriting/improving content where necessary to ensure articles adhere to our guidelines.
  • Ensuring all articles have no spelling, punctuation, or grammatical errors.
  • Ensuring the written and visual content of the article is engaging.
  • Giving writers constructive feedback to help them improve
  • Collaborating with graphic teams to create professional visuals for the content.
  • Collaborate with Virtual Assistants to create links

What you’ll need

  • Fluent in English
  • 1-3+ years of proven experience writing or editing
  • Can translate ideas and complex research into interesting articles that engages and informs audiences.
  • Able to work both independently and within a small team
  • [Desirable] Experience in affiliate content
  • [Desirable] Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or related field.

Article SEO and Affiliate Marketing

  • Checking/supporting writers to ensure content adheres to SEO best practices
  • SEO optimizing content using tools such as surferSEO
  • Ensuring content is in line with our advertising partner’s affiliate guidelines

What you’ll need

  • [Desirable]Be interested and confident quick learner of softwares (e.g. WordPress)
  • [Desirable] Experience with SEO tools such as SurferSEO, adRefs or similar.
  • [Desirable] Knowledgeable about affiliate marketing and how it works

Research and Fact Checking

  • Ensuring facts about our affiliate partner’s (prices, website features, etc.) are correct
  • Ensuring there is no plagiarism within articles

What you’ll need

  • Strong at researching/fact checking the most relevant, reliable sources for content.

Team Management & Organisation

  • Using multiple platforms to manage and organize work, such as clickup, systemhub, google docs, slack, skype, email, etc.
  • Working alongside a Senior Editor who will assign you tasks on a daily/weekly basis
  • Receive real, constructive feedback to learn our standards and revise work accordingly
  • Give actionable feedback and coaching to writers on creating best-in-class content and adherence to guidelines
  • Assist Senior editors to continually improve documentation, training, and processes

What you’ll need

  • Able to give clear and actionable feedback to team.
  • Able to learn and understand the process of article creation from start to publication
