We need an editor for our gut health news website. This is a part-time role.
As Editor, you'll be responsible for the news section of the website, which consists of news articles, layperson summaries of the latest gut health research, and interviews with notable people in the gut health community.
The ideal candidate is comfortable writing, editing, and managing content depending on our content production needs. For instance, on some days there will be writing required, while other days would be more focused on editing. Working with our writers, you will be responsible for ensuring the publication of 3 SEO optimized articles per day, at least 1 of which is a research article, and at least 1 interview per week.
Responsibilities:
Manage content calendar
Oversee day-to-day content production
Write and edit articles
Audit and refresh old content
Hire, manage and train writers as needed
Optimize internal links to manage blog/site structure
Reach out, & conduct interviews of gut health experts
You must have prior editing experience.
Experience managing a news site, especially in the health space is preferred
A medical/scientific background is preferred
