We’re an independent tabletop games website that creates helpful gaming guides for tabletop gamers.
We’re increasing our Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering content.
We are looking to hire tabletop games writers who can write 1-2 articles per week on either of these games on a regular basis for the long term.
Articles range from 1,500-3,500 words, with the majority being approx. 2,300 words.
This is a ghostwriting position. Your name will not be listed as the author on the articles. You will be asked to sign a freelance writing agreement as part of this role.
If you’re offered a regular writing position, you will be able to choose which articles you write from a list of articles.
While writing for us, you’ll need to follow specific templates that we will provide. This is not SEO-type content. All posts must show gaming expertise and be useful for readers.
We expect you to learn quickly and produce posts that require very little editing.
What’s Required?
For this role you must:
- Have experience playing Dungeons & Dragons and/or Magic: The Gathering
- Be a native English writer
- Live in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or Australia
- Be familiar with writing in WordPress
- Have a computer with internet access and Google Docs
- Communicate regularly regarding work capacity and hit agreed deadlines
Bonus points for:
- Being a current player of D&D and MTG
- Experience playing other TCGs and TTRPGs
You don’t need tons of experience in writing to apply. New writers who are willing to learn are welcome to apply as well.
Remuneration
If you are offered a writing position, we can discuss regular rates. Payment is per word.
This is a freelancer position.
Delivery of articles
You’ll follow writing templates provided by us for each article.
You will upload and format the articles in our WordPress powered website.
Start date
We will start reviewing applications and contacting candidates on Monday 27th September.
The position starts immediately after being offered it.
