About the Role
We’re looking for a writer who loves American Professional Sports, knowledgeable, and has sports writing experience. This includes writing about the NFL, NBA, and MLB.
Writer will be responsible for submitting 24 short-form (250 word) articles per day (Monday-Friday). Writer will choose a 6-hour timeframe to work between 9am EST and 6pm EST. Article topics will be assigned by a managing editor. Articles will be written and submitted Monday-Friday before 6:00 pm EST. Articles will be 250-275 words and written about current sports topics in the NFL, NBA, and MLB.
About the Content
The articles will be 250-275 words.
All content is to be well researched and include relevant contextual outbound links when it makes sense to do so.
Examples and high-level outlines and training will be provided.
Articles are to be written in a professional tone with no fluff.
The types of content you may be asked to write includes:
- 3 Bold Predictions for the Saints in 2022
- 3 Offseason moves the Red Sox need to make
- 2 players off to hot starts for the Bulls in 2022
Our Ideal Candidate
Can be flexible and does not miss deadlines
Can handle critical feedback and adjust accordingly
Can work in a fast paced environment.
Is a native English speaker
Is tech-savvy (understands MS Word, Google Drive, can take screenshots if necessary, etc.)
Experience writing about sports.
Compensation
Pay will be $1560 per month. Payment will be sent on the 15th of every month.
