Description
District Media, Inc. seeks an avid couponer to join our content team on a part time basis. We are looking for someone to produce unique and compelling blog posts that focus on the topical concerns of everyday grocery shoppers interested in coupons and saving money. The candidate’s primary job will be to blog with District Media, Inc. at www.grocerycouponguide.com.
Desired qualifications are:
- Knowledge of frugal shopping, coupons, grocery deals and related topics.
- Personal experience with web publishing, content management systems and blogging are preferred. Knowledge of WordPress highly desired.
- Active consumer of couponing and frugal living related publications
- Experience as a couponer and demonstrated expertise in saving money using coupons.
- Strong writing and editorial skills.
- Creative flair and willingness to experiment; flexibility amid changes in product direction.
- Patience with others joined with the ability to get things done collectively in a startup environment.
- Openess to feedback and/or constructive criticism.
- Strong research skills.
Compensation is approximately $25 dollars per 300 – 500 word article at a rate of approximately 6-8 articles per month.
To maintain continuity with the current editorial perspective of the site, preference will be given to applicants who write from a frugal stand point. Applicants with English as their first language are preferred.
