Description
Hi – I’m Adam and I manage the marketing and communications program for Vista Projects, a mid-sized engineering firm based in Calgary, Alberta. I’m looking for a content writer to ghostwrite blog posts, service and product pages, white papers, brochures, job descriptions and potentially internal communications.
Preference
My preference is to agree to a price per word, however, I would also consider an hourly rate for the right candidate. I am not seeking a team of writers. Instead, I would like to hire one person who can write intelligently on a range of topics for a mature audience. I will commission jobs as they arise.
Assignments
As many assignments will need to cover fairly dense, technical topics, I envision most content coming from our internal SMEs. The successful writer will need to sift through notes and technical documents and conduct interviews and follow-up communications. Technical training is not required but you will need to be able to understand what you write about. A background in oil & gas or energy engineering would suit you well in this role.
Process
We are flexible and open to finding a workflow that makes sense for everyone. The quality of the final product will matter most. This is a remote position and you will be free to work on your own schedule as long as deadlines are met.
