About The Role
We are seeking a full-time, remote content writer to create engaging content for helicopter rides, tours, and travel-related topics across Australia.
Rotor One is a premier helicopter tour company founded in 2020 at Essendon Airport in Melbourne. As Melbourne’s #1 rated helicopter tour provider, we have earned over 350 genuine five-star reviews on Google and TripAdvisor. Each year, we proudly host more than 1,000+ guests on helicopter rides across Melbourne, Sydney, and the Noosa & Sunshine Coast.
We are looking for a rockstar content writer to join our team and help us create high-quality content for our audience. Ideally, you'll be familiar with SEO best practices including keyword research and you will use your writing, and editing skills to produce expert-level articles on the assigned topics. You’ll help achieve our growth goals by creating content that connects to our target audience and brings traffic to our website.
What You'll Do
- Create educational and engaging content on these topics
- Make intuitive and data-driven decisions to leverage content and achieve client goals
- Use SEO optimisation tools like SurferSEO to ensure content ranks for target keywords
- Implement team's feedback to your existing content
- Publish content directly to our website (Shopify).
- Ensure all content, headings, images and meta titles/descriptions are clean and optimised
About You
- You're a natural-born writer! You probably spent a lot of time perfecting your craft, you have a strong grasp of grammar, and you enjoy the creative aspect of writing
- You're organized and independent, but you love working in a collaborative and positive team environment
- You love creating compelling content and you're a continuous learner
- You're self-motivated and take initiative to meet and exceed your goals
- You understand the importance of organic search and search engine optimization.
- You want to grow in the role and give us the honor to grow your career with us
Within 1 month you will:
- Complete our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision, and team and gain an understanding of how your role fits into our broader organization.
- Conduct 1:1s with the team to learn more about creating compelling content, SEO, and marketing in general.
- Master our grammar and language guidelines
Deliver content ready for publishing.
Within 3 months you will:
- Become completely independent when it comes to writing. Ideally, also involved in topic research.
- Continue to improve and track your progress in content writing and SEO with the team.
