Content Writer/Editor

I'm looking for a Content Writer/Editor who has experience writing high-quality, informational content in the geography and travel sector.

Responsibilities

• You will be re-writing many articles on mappr.co to make the reading experience and flow much nicer.
• Some articles on mappr.co are currently very hard to read due to unnecessary commas, transition words, and long or short sentences. Your job will be to fix this.
• You will also write new content that is clear, easy to read, and more engaging than similar content.
• You will be researching geography, travel, economy, and general topics to find unique insights that provide our readers with new, up-to-date, useful information and advice.

Requirements

• Good understanding of geography, political systems, economy, and the travel-tips/tourism sector.
• You have a work-from-home setup.
• You have at least 3 years of professional experience writing for publications (ideally online publications).
• You have a proven ability to communicate complex topics in ways that are relatable and understandable for readers.
• You pay close attention to detail, follow English grammar rules, and avoid typos.
• Furthermore, you are well-versed with WordPress, SEO and can write high-quality content (please share the links of at least 5 published articles when applying).
• You are self-motivated to complete work assignments on your own without a team (there is no team, you will work directly with the website owner).

You will be working 16 hrs. per week on this project. Please mention your hourly rate when applying.
