Content Marketing Writer for B2B Brand

About Us:

Ardent Growth is a content marketing firm focused on producing high-quality content for B2B brands.

We’re a company comprised of marketers, writers, editors, analysts, and designers.

About this Job:

We are looking for a skilled writer with knowledge about marketing—particularly for small businesses. A foundational understanding of general digital marketing (strategic and tactical) is ideal.

Our writers work with editors and strategists to develop 2-4 long form pieces of content for our clients each week. We expect writers to develop outlines for each article with feedback from the strategist before drafting and for each first draft to undergo a self-edit using Grammarly and Hemingway App before submitting it to an editor.

Our writers start at $0.15/word with regular performance reviews as our engagement progresses. Significantly experienced writers may pitch higher rates for our consideration.

This is a contract-based/freelance position but can become a full-time position (with benefits), depending on your interest and if we are a mutual good fit for one another.

This position is also fully remote and can work from anywhere as long as there is some overlap with CST hours.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to write 2-4 long form (1,500 word) pieces of content per week.
  • Ability to work on deadlines and communicate any delays in advance.
  • A foundational understanding of general digital marketing (strategic and tactical) is ideal.
  • An understanding of writing for the web (scannability, readability, etc.) and an understanding of SEO principles.
  • Ability to outline articles based on topics provided by our strategist.
  • Ability to self-edit using Grammarly and Hemingway App before each first draft submission.
  • Ability to accept feedback from editors and revise drafts.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research on topics to create compelling, well-thought out content.
  • Willingness to interview subject matter experts to get our clients’ unique point of view.
  • Willingness to communicate and coordinate with other team members in Slack and Asana.
  • An understanding of content optimization tools such as Clearscope, Frase, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Willingness to add screenshots/graphic assets to drafts and provide some directions to our graphic designer. If you are capable of using common design tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe products), that is a major plus.
