The Conservative Institute exists to provide a platform for well-reasoned, well-written, and well-distributed articles and columns defending conservative values.
Right now, there seem to be only two common types of conservative publications: popular-but-misleading and honest-but-boring.
Our goal is to ignore the mistakes made by both types of publications and instead create well-written, popular commentary that can help people understand the conservative narrative.
Who We Need
ConservativeInstitute.Org is looking for writers who can create compelling articles and intelligent but engaging conservative content. We need people who are passionate about the mission above.
You understand basic political controversies and can write about them in a concise manner.
You MUST explain why you have credibility and why the average person should listen to your thoughts on politics.
You MUST have a good command of English. If you don’t know how to write well, you shouldn’t be paid to write.
You MUST follow deadlines and rules. If you’re hard-headed and don’t like following rules or processes, this is absolutely not for you.
You MUST accept criticism. We will critique everything you write. This is part of our culture of high standards and dedication to excellence.
You MUST show us an example of conservative writing.
Even if you have to write a sample article, don’t apply for this position without some example of your writing. You’ll be ignored if you ignore this requirement.
You MUST be familiar with conservative philosophy. If you’re not, this isn’t the job for you.
You MUST be able to create a structured argument that’s backed up with sound logic and reason.
What You’ll Want To Know
You'll be part of a great team of writers dedicated to producing engaging, provoking, and inspiring content.
We pay really well because we want really good content.
“Really good content” means well-constructed, well-reasoned arguments that are also extremely engaging.
Articles need to be a minimum of 500 words, though analysis pieces need to be a minimum of 1,000 words
We provide you with the headlines and an initial source
