We’re looking for a coffee-obsessed content creator that knows what excellent content looks and sounds like.
Your main role will be writing and editing existing content, but you may be asked to occasionally snap high quality photos and short videos for recipe posts, how-to articles, and product reviews (like when we send you free coffee to test and review :))
The plan is to hire you for consistent, ongoing work that could be close to flexible, full-time hours.
Pay:
Given the variety of assignments you'll receive, this will be an hourly position. Pay starts at $15/hr and will be paid via Paypal.
We have plenty of work for the right candidate, so expect consistent and near full-time hours to start.
Requirements:
- Native speakers of American English
Based in the US, Canada or US expat (Preferred) - Love and knowledge of coffee and espresso
- Experience with a variety of coffee equipment such as grinders, pour over, espresso machines, and more. (Perfect for a former barista or coffee shop owner)
- Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks with limited supervision.
- A friendly, likable personality that shines through in writing and potentially video content
- 30+ hours per week of availability (flexible schedule)
Job Details:
This role is primarily going to be focused on writing and editing for our well-established and popular coffee website.
So we're looking for a team member who loves coffee and is a bit of a home barista.
A typical assignment might be that we send you a topic like "How to make cold brew with a french press" and give you some basic guidelines on writing style, formatting, and word count and then you'll be expected to research competitors and create a piece of content that's more helpful than anything currently available.
In terms of editing, this would involve standard proofreading and content editing of articles submitted by other writers on our team. However, we'll also send you writing prompts for articles we published years ago that are outdated and underperforming and ask you to go research and refresh the article with more/better/updated content.
Writing Requirements
Writing for us, you will need to follow specific templates that we will provide. This is not SEO-type content. All posts must be well-researched and useful for your reader.
Writers will be provided with training in the required writing formats. We expect you to learn quickly and produce posts which require very little editing.
You don’t have to have tons of experience in writing to apply. New writers who are willing to learn are welcome to apply as well.
