Description

We have 30+ pages of a book proposal written up and we’re looking to hire someone to complete and beef up our existing content, with the potential to further collaborate on the book.

In the likes of Eddie Huang's FRESH OFF THE BOAT, Roy Choi's LA SON, Jimmy O Yang's HOW TO AMERICA we are in the process of writing a dope new guidebook that delves into the Asian-American identity and experience (note that this is not an Asian-American studies paper!)

We’re looking for a co-writer who can help elevate and expand on our thoughts and current content. The ideal candidate would be interested in the Asian-American experience and have a strong voice. It’ll help if you’re funny!

Our office is in the Lower East Side and while remote working might be a possibility, we’d prefer to have in-person meetings and work sessions.

Compensation is between $1,500-2,000 (negotiable). We’re looking for great people to work with, so if you have a friend who you feel is up to the job, send them our way and we’ll happily give you a referral fee of $200.

About us:

We’re the Fung Bros. (check out our our 2 million subscriber YouTube channel here: http://youtube.com/FungBros). We’re a Chinese-American duo consisting of comedians and rappers David and Andrew Fung. Much of our content on Youtube and more recently IGTv revolves around Asian American subject matter.

To apply:

Please send your resume, portfolio, and a brief writing sample about your Asian-American experience alongside your application, with the header "CO-WRITER".

Please note that we’ll only respond to shortlisted candidates. Thanks!
