Do you live and breath cars?
Automoblog is looking for an automotive news writer. You will cover 1-3 news pieces per day at the start, possibly growing into more, with the potential to grow into other types of content such as car and product reviews, event coverage, guides, and more.
We're a passionate group of gearheads who truly love cars. It is essential that you have knowledge and passion for the automobile.
You can read more about us here - do you see yourself fitting in?
Each news piece will be around 300 words, give or take, depending on the needs of the content. We answer the question "How many words does it need to be?" with "As many or as few as it needs to be." We don't like counting words and we think it distracts from the meaning of the content if you're just trying to hit a word count.
At the start, pay will be $10 per news piece.
It is essential that these articles are written in a timely fashion. At the beginning you'll be receiving guidance from our Managing Editor and suggestions for which topics to cover. You'll also be getting regular press releases from the automotive industry with details, images, and specs. After you've gotten integrated, we would like you to be able to write and publish a news piece within 20 minutes of receiving the press release, on your own (once you're comfortable with how things work.) We can scale from 1-3 articles a day to many more, it's all up to you.
You'll have a lot of creative freedom here and we really want your personality to shine through - we don't just want regurgitated facts and specs, but we want your opinion and analysis on these as well.
